Introducing our most peppery gin yet

Another year, another amazing .pepper..gin. Again in a limited edition and again in collaboration with Martin Žufánek. If you know us, you know that twice a year we organize Night Shopping – a night full of great prices and gifts with purchase. This year we spiced it up with the premiere of this bottle at our .pepper..party, where we also introduced our pepper cocktails. Try it, give it as a gift in a box made from rescued cardboard, or expand your collection of unique bottles. Martin delivered the first 100 pieces, which he personally signed and gave us for sale. “It’s a concert of flavors, and the first violin in it is played by white Kampot pepper! ” When one of the best Czech distillers and an expert in Italian cuisine come together, the result can only be absolutely perfect. Martin Žufánek and Matteo De Carli have created a perfect gin with a full range of flavors: salty, bitter, sweet, and sour. White Kampot pepper opens the taste buds, allowing you to enjoy: a blend of herbs selected by Italian chef Matteo de Carli. citrus with Fleur de Sel salt flower from Kampot salt pans. homemade honey supplied by Martin from his own garden. TIP from Martin on serving “I am an advocate of the classics. That is why I drink gin pure, unchilled, and in this case with 3 white peppercorns from pepper..field.” But I also like to enhance it with orange peel. If you prefer long drinks, we recommend adding Double Dutch dry tonic and a slice of lemon, and you can also garnish the cocktail with a sprig of rosemary. Why specifically white pepper from Kampot? White pepper has a somewhat tarnished reputation worldwide. Poor processing and peeling from unripe black pepper are unfortunately typical for pepper from large sellers who ship it to our continent improperly dried, which significantly affects its aroma and taste. And that is a great shame because white pepper is something absolutely unique, especially true for Kampot pepper. True white Kampot pepper is actually the heart of red pepper, which is hand-peeled after several days of water soaking. Once it dries in the sun, our farmers carefully sort it. Its characteristic aroma and taste are finally “locked in” in vacuum packaging and sent to us in Europe. You will enjoy notes of kaffir lime, nutmeg blossom, cedarwood, and grapefruit with every opening of the pouch or turning of the grinder. A Christmas gift like a drunk… embroidered. The previous edition of .pepper..gin by Žufánek immediately became a bestseller among last year’s Christmas gifts. Some even had to wait two months for it. But don’t wait until Christmas and order it in time. Newly, we give you the option to buy not only the bottle alone but also a complete gift set. It includes a luxury cardboard box, 20 g of white Kampot pepper, and 100 g of Fleur de Sel salt flower. Then it’s up to you whether you add engraving on the lid and make the gift recipient even happier.

When the best meet. In collaboration with the Žufánek distillery, we have created a limited edition gin like no other before.

Doing things differently, well, and exceptionally is not only our motto but also the motto of many honest producers in our surroundings. One of them is Martin Žufánek, the founder of the distillery that bears his name and became famous for producing perfect distillates with a twist. Such a twist is also carried by our freeze-dried green pepper, which inspired us to put our heads together and jointly create a gin that has no equivalent on the Czech or any other market. We have already revealed the main ingredient, namely the freeze-dried green pepper, for which we received a gastronomic Oscar. But there is much more hidden in this gin. For the very first time, Martin Žufánek decided to base the gin on a grape marc spirit in a purely Italian style. To it, he added olives, almonds, basil, lemongrass, and also neroli, the essential oil from the flowers of the bitter orange tree. In short, a little piece of Italian sunshine poured into a clear glass. Whether you will then want to pour the distillate with a dry tonic and enjoy a pleasant summer refreshment, or savor it neat with a few red Kampot peppercorns to distinguish all the flavor nuances of our craft, we leave that to you. Alternatively, you can archive the bottle and remember it in a few years. After all, this is a limited edition, and Mr. Žufánek speaks of the gin as one of the best he has ever made. Perhaps you will have an interesting product in your hands that will have certain investment potential. But who could resist such a treasure hidden in ochre-colored glass with a unique label design by the ARTBUREAU studio? The uniqueness of each bottle is further emphasized by a unique identification number, thanks to which you can also name it. You can call it, for example, my beloved one hundred and eightieth.

Release nØGin(a) from the bottle and let yourself be carried away into a world of exotic flavors

It feels like it was just yesterday when we decided to create our first limited edition .pepper..gin with mango and Kampot pepper. The bottles with this exotic delicacy quickly sold out, so we decided to repeat our endeavor, but this time to create a work so unique that few can match it on the Czech market. During its creation, we reached out to many of our friends with whom we had previously collaborated. To the experts Ondra and Petr from the Landcraft distillery, we added Michal from the Heršffek Chocolate Factory with his perfect fairtrade cocoa beans and unique Bean-to-Bar chocolate production, as well as the peel from Sicilian organic oranges from Mr. Olšák of ChuťSicílie. We extracted all the essences of these perfect ingredients and blended them into a single whole into a very fine distillate of a new category: nørGin. It is an exotic compilation of unexpected flavor tones that will take you into a completely new world of gin experience. Juniper? Don’t expect it in this case. We truly completely reworked the basics of gin and built them on the unique Kampot green pepper, which makes all the flavor sensations dance and slightly sharpens them. NørGin will load you with a distinctly good mood, and you can return it back to him. Its Package we supplemented with a range of stickers made from recycled materials, which were designed for us by the Butterflies&Hurricanes studio. With their help, you can decorate your bottle of nørGin exactly as you imagine and allow the bottle to proclaim the message of this gin even after there is not a drop left in the bottle. Life is simply too short to drink without the possibility of sticking stickers with a sustainable impact around you. And believe us, thanks to 47% alcohol, they will stick everywhere. ☺

What is hidden behind .pepper..gin?

As you probably already know, pepper can be cleverly combined with a whole range of interesting ingredients that you would never have dreamed of. You may have already tried adding a pinch of pepper to ice cream or coffee. But how about trying to combine hot pepper with an even sharper gin? Although this combination may seem like a challenge only for the bravest, the opposite is true. Pepper gin will be loved by every fan of exotic flavors. True gin with a touch of exoticism If you have ever tasted gin, you have certainly noticed primarily the taste of its most important ingredient, which is juniper. However, each producer has a different recipe that gives the gin a variety of flavor tones. Our gin with Kampot pepper is a small extract of everything we love about Cambodia. In a special edition that contains only 999 bottles, you will find subtle tones of mango, coriander, complemented by citrus, ginger, ginseng, and lemongrass. Crowning it all is Kampot green pepper, which was used in the production of the gin for the very first time. We ourselves also worked on our first po(ck)gin We prepared this gin for you in collaboration  with the small craft distillery  Landcraft. These guys are incredible experimenters who see every fruit as a liquefiable extract of happiness. With their help, we put together a real unique product that we are incredibly proud of and that will please everyone. Even Cambodians! We really enjoyed the production process ourselves, squeezing fresh mango and tasting countless combinations of herbs and infusions until it was just right. Not only does our gin taste great on its own, but you can also mix an excellent drink from it. The best accompaniments are mango tonic or mango juice. During preparation, add a few berries of our  red Kampot pepper into the glass, pour in a suitable amount of gin, and finally add what is called a brake, meaning one of the above-mentioned non-alcoholic drinks. You will see that our gin will bring you a completely new taste experience that cannot be compared to any other similar drink!
