Origin

Kampot pepper is cultivated in Kampot province, located in the very south of East Asian Cambodia.

This is an area that, thanks to its coastal climate and geological conditions, enables local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. It is no coincidence that this pepper has earned a protected geographical designation, similar to French champagne.
From small family farms, we purchase pepper under direct trade conditions that guarantee a fair reward for every grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders.
Thanks to this, by purchasing from us you not only obtain pepper of the highest quality, but also the assurance that you are buying a sustainable and ethically responsible product that will help secure for its producers medical care and education for their children

Characteristic

Green fermented pepper brings the taste of fresh green peppercorns with delicate grace.

Thanks to it, it could almost be called Cambodian caviar with mildly gamey notes and a salty taste, which are particularly suitable for flavoring.

Processing

Fermented Kampot pepper contains fresh green berries processed using the old Japanese fermentation method directly in Cambodia.

To the pickled berries is added a pinch of fleur de sel obtained by evaporating seawater, which guarantees the absolute freshness of the berries. They, thanks to this process, retain the flavor of tender green pepper freshly picked from the pepper vine, which was also praised by the association's president, which in Cambodia monitors the quality of the Kampot pepper.

Thanks to the careful selection that meets the strict quality requirements for Kampot pepper, as determined by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the very best berries are hand-selected. They are then vacuum-packed to ensure that quality and freshness are maintained during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further selected, packed, and delivered right to your table.

Usage

Fermented green pepper will be loved for its mildness primarily by enthusiasts of vegetarian cuisine.

It is not suitable to combine it with meat, rather add it to salads, spreads or try it with avocado. It works as a finish on creamy soups, subtly enhancing the flavor of risotto, shrimp and with its help you can also create perfect sandwiches or toasts.

This pepper is not suitable for grinding in a grinder due to clogging of the grinding mechanism.

Package

Thanks to the materials used and the special bag-sealing technology, air and moisture do not reach the pepper.

We pack the pepper immediately after fermentation into vacuum bags with a capacity of 40 to 100 grams. Thanks to this, the peppercorns, once the bag is opened, retain their authentic taste, freshness, and aroma of Kampot pepper. Each Package also includes a brochure that brings you the story of the best pepper in the world and introduces you to the world of .pepper..field.

Awards

Quality is our top priority, as confirmed not only by the certificates our pepper carries, but also by the awards it brings home from international competitions.

Among the most significant are the awards given to our pepper as part of the competition Great Taste, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of gastronomy.

However, sustainability is also important for us, which we do not treat as mere empty words, as evidenced by the SDG’s awards awarded to truly sustainable and socially responsible projects.
