Origin

Kampot pepper is grown in the Kampot province, located in the very south of East Asian Cambodia.

This is an area that, thanks to its coastal climate and geological conditions, enables local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. Not without reason, this pepper has earned a protected geographical designation, much like French champagne.
We buy pepper from small family farms under direct trade conditions that guarantee a fair reward for every grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other merchants.
Thanks to this, when you buy from us, you not only get the highest quality pepper but also the assurance that you are purchasing a sustainable and morally responsible product that helps ensure its producers access to medical care and education for their children

Characteristic

Green fermented pepper brings the taste of fresh green peppercorns with a delicate grace.

Thanks to it, it could almost be called Cambodian caviar with delicately fresh notes and a salty taste, thanks to which it is especially suitable for seasoning.

Processing

Fermented Kampot pepper contains fresh green berries processed using an old Japanese fermentation method directly in Cambodia.

To the pickled berries, is added a pinch of salt flower obtained by evaporating seawater, which guarantees the absolute freshness of the berries. They, thanks to this processing, retain the taste of delicate green pepper just picked from the pepper vine, which was also praised by the president of the association, which in Cambodia oversees the quality of the balanced pepper.

Thanks to the meticulous selection meeting the stringent demands for the quality of Kampot pepper, as set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the very best berries are hand-selected. They are then vacuum-packed to ensure that quality and freshness are maintained during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further selected, packaged, and delivered right to your table.

Usage

Fermented green pepper will be loved for its mildness primarily by devotees of vegetarian cuisine.

It is not advisable to combine it with meat; instead, add it to salads, spreads or try it with avocado. It serves as a finishing touch for cream soups, gently enhancing the flavor risotto, shrimp and with its help you can also create perfect sandwiches or toasts.

This pepper is not suitable for grinding in a grinder due to the clogging of the milling mechanism.

Package

Thanks to the materials used and the special bag-sealing technology, air and moisture do not reach the pepper.

We pack the pepper immediately after fermentation into vacuum bags with a capacity of 40 to 100 grams. Thanks to this, after opening the bag the peppercorns retain authentic taste, freshness, and aroma of Kampot pepper. A part of every Package also includes a brochure that brings you the story of the world's best pepper and introduces you to the world .pepper..field.
