What lies hidden under the enigmatic name Biltong is best explained by the brothers Ondřej and Jakub from Maso Here.

Thanks to their experience from the Republic of South Africa, where this type of dried meat has its roots, today they rank among the greatest specialists in its preparation. As a result, they continually strive to improve their methods and search for new ways to create the most perfect biltong, and the Kampot pepper is their excellent assistant.

Ingredients

Red Kampot pepper, which you can find in the product, is a specialty of the Kampot plantations.

On these plantations, the pepper berries are allowed to ripen until they reach a rich red color full of fructose. They are then harvested and sun-dried, thereby acquiring their characteristic dark red hue.

The rare red pepper is an explosion of fruity tones with a milder spiciness. Initially, notes of rose and rosehip dominate, which later transition into dried cherry notes. After two to three minutes, more distinctive aromas for Kampot pepper begin to develop, such as citrus fruits, dried mandarins, and an earthier crust of sourdough bread.

Ingredients: beef, apple cider vinegar, coriander, pepper, garlic, salt, Kampot whole red pepper (1.25%). The product contains no allergens or substances from the World Anti-Doping Code's Prohibited Substances List.

Store in a dry and cool place in the sealed packaging, at temperatures up to 25°C, and do not expose the meat to direct sunlight.

Characteristic

Classic jerky, that is, small pieces of dried meat, is known to everyone, but biltong is known to only a few.

Biltong is a specially prepared dried meat, which, unlike jerky, is sliced into pieces only after the drying process. Thanks to that, this type of meat incredibly juicy, tasty and authentic. Thanks to the thicker slices, it more closely resembles fresh meat. It is produced mainly from beef, but you can also find biltong made from llama, antelope, ostrich, or game.

In contrast to jerky, the spices used to flavor the meat are different, and because of that it has an absolutely unique flavor.. In the special preparation process, which has its roots in South Africa, we decided to add the best from South Asia in the form of red Kampot pepper, and as a result, it has an absolutely phenomenal flavor.

Usage

Whether you're setting off on an all-day hike in the mountains or you need to quickly stave off hunger in the urban jungle, biltong always comes in handy.

All you need to do is take a few pieces, savor, and enjoy the perfect taste of peppered meat. But beware, this is a very addictive affair and Package can be empty in the blink of an eye.
